The EXIT project is nearing its conclusion. Over the past three years, we have worked collectively on a critical analysis of the concept of left‑behindness to better understand and characterise territorial inequalities across Europe. It has been an intense process, enriched by research, debate, and collaboration among all the teams involved.
Today, the project partners met for the last time to bring together the knowledge gained, reflect on what we have learned, and begin outlining the road ahead: how to disseminate the results, how to broaden their impact, and how to keep the conversation on territorial cohesion alive beyond the project itself.

Tomorrow we will hold the final conference, where we will present EXIT’s main findings and share reflections with the academic, institutional, and wider community. We are also honoured to welcome Akhil Gupta for the opening keynote, which will help situate our work within a broader international debate.
We look forward to seeing you at the Paranimf of the Historic Building, with the rector’s welcome at 9:00 (registration from 8:30 to 9:00).
